The spring burning season in Perry starts on St. Patrick’s Day.
Residents who live within city limits are permitted to burn yard waste materials between 10am and sundown on private property in the rear portion of the lot if supervised at all times.
All burning needs to be at least 20 feet from any building inhabited by someone other than the landowner or tenant that is doing the burning.
Though open burning is allowed until May 18th, the City encourages residents to find alternate methods of yard waste disposal such as utilizing the city’s yard waste pick up.
