A yearlong investigation and the execution of search warrants in Stuart has led to the arrest of three people on drug charges.
According to Stuart Police Chief Dave Reha, methamphetamines, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were uncovered while searching the home of Nina Wagner and David Sherwood. Both have been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and methamphetamine, possession of prescription drugs, child endangerment and distribution of a schedule I controlled substance to a person under age 18. The charges range in severity from a simple misdemeanor to a class B felony.
A second search warrant at the home of Gerald Waltz also uncovered drugs. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs, marijuana and methamphetamines and distribution of a schedule I controlled substance to a person under age 18.
The warrants were part of a yearlong investigation into the supply of illegal drugs to minors, particularly high school students in the Stuart area.
Reha says the investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are possible.
