The Greene County Historical Society invites everyone to come hear from career educator, turned author and poet Joe Millard Friday.
The Farlin native and current Waukee resident will tell stories from his third book “Where Did All the Cowboys Go?” during the society’s meeting. The book is a nostalgic look at life in Greene County in the 1940s and 50s.
The event takes place in Churdan with a meal at noon, followed by Millard’s presentation in the church at 1pm. The presentation is free and open to the public. It will be followed by another Greene County trivia quiz, led by Denny Lautner and a short historical society business meeting. It all takes place at the United Methodist Church in Churdan this Friday.
