The Bock Family Foundation has announced the recipients of this year’s fall grants.

A total of more than $98,600 was awarded to non-profit organizations and causes in the Dallas County area.

$5,000 to Miracle Travel Works to assist families with travel expenses

 

$5,250 to Dallas/Guthrie County Habitat for Humanity to assist with the purchase of tools and a trailer

 

$9,320 to the Perry Area Child Development Center for scholarships for low income families

 

$4,500 to the Washington Township School to assist with their restoration Project

 

$3,000 to the Humane Society of Perry to help with the Fix a Feral, spay/neuter project

 

$9,500 to Dallas County Conservation to assist with air conditioning of Sportsman’s Park Lodge and $10,000 to assist with repairs to the Raccoon River Valley Trail and installation of interpretive signs.

 

$2,241 to the 1st United Methodist Church to install a privacy fence

 

$3,000 to the Gingerbread House Preschool to expand educational services of their bilingual teaching associate

 

$5,000 to the Dallas County Hospital to purchase surgical instruments for cataract surgeries

 

$1,000 to the Perry Police Department’s K-9 Unit to furnish supplies for future fundraising projects.

 

$500 to the Perry Fine Arts group for the Ketzal Coatlique Aztec Dance Troup event

 

$2,500 to Partners in Family Development to expand services of the Dallas County Early Childhood Family Resource Center

 

$10,00 to the Perry Schools PACES Program to assist with before and after school programs for the elementary and $4,961 to assist with the middle school enrichment program.

 

$4,993 to Home Care Services to replace 2 way radio system computers

 

$1,200 to the Friends of the Perry Public Library’s Art on the Prairie Project to purchase t-shirts for the fundraising projet

 

$3,210 to Dallas County Public Health Nursing for Better Choices/Better Health Program

 

$3,500 to the Perry Elementary School Music Department to assist with the Bluejay Choir and instruments for the department

 

$630 to Pegasus, Inc. for purchase of a wireless portable microphone system

 

$9328 to the LifeLine Youth Foundation to provide subsidized substance abuse treatment
