The Dallas County Conservation Office is hosting a special event this weekend to welcome fall.

The Fall Equinox takes place this Saturday and all residents are invited to check out the sunrise and sunset at the Hanging Rock Park in Redfield.  The equinox poles will be posted to help attendees observe the show.

Then later this fall an equinox program will be held including a presentation by archeo-astronomy expert Mark Edwards.  Mark will discuss the Hanging Rock clock and other Iowa landscape features that mark the passage of the seasons.
