Having played fewer matches than her own A-D-M team, Head Volleyball Coach Mary Beth Scott didn’t know what to expect from the visiting Toreadores from Boone. What she & her team got was a tough opponent with quality blocking skills that battled the Lady Tigers for five sets before the A-D-M rallied from down 2 sets to 1 to win their 12th straight match Tuesday night.

Boone won set one 25 to 23, A-D-M won set two by that same score, Boone won set three 25-16 and then the Lady Tigers won set four by the same 25-16 score. It all came down to the tie-breaker, led by Sr. McKenzie Felt’s serving, A-D-M won the tie-breaker 15-9. Felt totaled 13 ace serves in the match & led several Lady Tiger comebacks including serving out set four with 7 points & five aces.

“McKenzie did a fabulous job,” said Head Coach Scott, “As a Sr. she really did what she needed her to do, she pulled us away when we needed it.”

Scott credited the whole team with the victory, “McKenzie’s serving wasn’t the whole match, we won as a team, we’re very well balanced, we have other hitters we can go to. We just needed to pass & stick to our game.”

With their 12th straight win the Lady Tigers improved to 13-2 overall and host Carlisle Thursday night.
