A reminder to Conservation Reserve Program producers, those who have been approved for emergency haying must remove the crops by the end of the month.
According to the Iowa Farm Service Agency, CRP producers who participated in the emergency haying need to report the numbers of acres used and tonnage harvested by September 30th.
However, emergency grazing deadlines have been extended and producers have until November 30th to report the number of acres and livestock grazed.
FSA officials add that if producers grazed or hayed fewer acres than they were approved for, the corrections must be made before CRP payments are made in early October.
Anyone with questions about the CRP program or these emergency deadlines should contact their local FSA office.
