Notice to all residents in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area… the entire northwest half of Iowa is under a red flag warning until 9pm tonight.

The low humidity, high temperatures and strong wind gusts make perfect conditions for rapidly spreading fires.

A cold front is expected to hit the area tomorrow afternoon which increases the likeliness of rain.

All residents are encouraged to not burn any materials at this time.  And as an additional reminder… the Greene County burn ban still remains in effect until further notice.
