Starting today there will be a new face at the Stuart Public Library. Amanda Skellenger will begin her tenure as the library’s Assistant Librarian and Circulation Specialist. Skellenger, who has previously the Public Service Assistant at the Waukee Public Library, will take the place of Lacey Partlow, who recently took a job with the State Library in Des Moines. Dallas County Supervisors to Continue Dialogue on Space Needs at Courthouse

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene Tuesday morning in regular session. To start the meeting off, the Board will continue discussion on courthouse space needs for the Treasurer, Recorder, and Court services, which will include a review of the proposed floor plan designed by Jerry Purdy from Design Alliance.

Each year the Roman Catholic Diocese of Des Moines selects a bucolic location for its annual Rural Life Mass. Monday, August 6th A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on 260th Street and the 144 Diagonal. Kristi Holz 60 of Churdan failed to yield the right away. Kristi was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue that sustained around 5,000 dollars damage. Kristi struck Ann Schapman 62 of Carroll who was driving a 2013 Nissan Murano that was totaled in the accident.
