The Greene County Activities Booster Club invites everyone to a special community event to help kick-start the winter season of sports and activities. A Winter Pep Rally will be held Tuesday at the middle school gym. MSGC Still Accepting Tenant Requests for Williams Building

In late August, Main Street Guthrie Center finalized a purchase on the Williams Building downtown. Since then, MSGC has fielded offers for two of the available retail spaces. However, MSGC is still seeking other possible tenants. In the meantime, MSGC is busy remodeling the property. With the holiday season right around the corner, applications are still being accepted for Greene County residents looking to make their holidays brighter. Greene New Opportunities and Adopt-A-Family are accepting applications for their annual holiday food basket and Toys for Tots drives. Community Thanksgiving Activities in Guthrie County

In a few days, home-cooked feasts will be enjoyed all over Guthrie County. However, if you’re feeling a little more social this Thanksgiving holiday, there are a couple events the whole community can enjoy. Dexter Public Library Holding Book and Garage Sale

The Dexter Public Library will be holding a book and garage sale tomorrow from 8am-noon. There will be a wide selection of fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books available. Additionally, there will be plenty of vintage and common garage sale items, as well as a bake sale. All sales will be free-will donations and all proceeds will benefit the library. The library is unsure what the funds will be used for at this time.

ACGC girls basketball head coach Aaron Dose released the 2017-2018 varsity roster last night. The squad features four seniors, six juniors, two sophomores and one freshman. Team leaders Madison Berger and Morgan Meacham highlight the list. Berger and Meacham led the scoring attack for the Lady Chargers last season, averaging just over sixteen points per game combined. Perry Boys Basketball Prepares For Jamboree Monday Night

Fans will get their first look at the Perry Bluejay basketball team Monday night when the Bluejays travel to Story City for the Roland Story Jamboree.  Perry will play two quarters of basketball in exhibition mode as they get ready for the season opener after Thanksgiving.  Perry will host North Polk on November 28th to kick off the season.  Perry begins the Raccoon River Conference portion of the schedule on December 1st at home against conference favorite Carroll.
