Scranton Little League Fundraiser

The Scranton Little League will be holding a fundraiser tonight at the Little League Field in Scranton.  The meal includes:  a pork burger, pop, and chips, for $5.  It starts at 5 pm with all the proceeds going to the Scranton Little League.

Redfield United Methodist Church Movie Showing

The Redfield United Methodist Church will show the movie “Risen” Thursday, June 22nd. Sandwiches, Chips and Cookies will be served at 6:00pm with the Movie to start at 7:00. This showing is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.

Gardens Retirement Community Open House

The Gardens Retirement Community in Jefferson will hold an Open House on Friday, June 23. Light refreshments will be served and Tours will be conducted all day. This is open to the public and everybody is welcome.

Perry Public Library Blood Drive

The Perry Public Library is sponsoring a special blood drive event on Friday, June 23, from 1:30-5:30 p.m., in association with the summer reading program theme of Build a Better World. Eligible donors must be least 16 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds, and have no health conditions that contraindicate giving blood. Redfield Old Settlers Days

The Redfield Old Settlers Days will be Friday, June 23rd through Sunday June 25th. The Fireworks will be on Friday night this year.  Joe’s Old Fashioned Fun Carnival will run through the weekend. The Parade is Saturday at 11:00 am. There will be a Horseshoe and Bags Tournament, a  Human Fooseball Game, and a Street Dance with the Band Toaster Saturday at 9:00pm as well as Activities throughout the entire weekend. Washington Township School Tractor Ride

The Washington Township School will hold it’s 6th annual Tractor Ride on Saturday June 24th. Breakfast will be served from 7:00-10:00am, with the ride starting at 9:00. The ride will travel from Redfield to Dexter stopping at the Bonnie & Clyde Shootout Scene with lunch served at the Dexter Park. A $20 donation pays for your ride and lunch. Paint Day at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds

The Guthrie County Extension Office is organizing a painting event at the Fairgrounds, Saturday, June 24th starting at 8:00 am. They need you to help them paint the livestock buildings. There are 2 new buildings going on the fairgrounds and they would like to spruce up the present buildings. Any and all help is appreciated. Minburn American Legion Pie Contest

The Minburn American Legion and Legion Auxiliary will hold a Pie Baking Contest on Tuesday, July 4th. All Pies are accepted and there will be 4 categories. Single Crust-Adult, Single Crust-High School and Under, Double Crust-Adult, and Double Crust-High School and Under. Deliver your Pies to the Legion Post on Baker Street between 8:00 am and Noon. Vacation Bible School in Panora
