Community Partnerships For Protecting Children Community Mixer

Book Sale at Perry Library

Ballet of Des Moines in Stuart

Ballet of Des Moines will be performing at the Saints Center in Stuart tonight at 6:30 pm.  It is free to the public.  Zipps Pizza will be available after the performance.

Bingo in Winterset

The Winterset Knights of Columbus will host their bingo night, tonight from 7 pm to 9 pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.  Packets are 23 games for $20.  Daubers will be sold or bring your own.  Concessions will be available for a free will donation.

Steak Fry in Dexter

The Sons of the American Legion Annual Steak Fry will be held tonight from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Dexter American Legion located at 703 Marshall Street in Dexter.  The menu includes:  8 ounce or 16 ounce rib-eye steak, baked potato, salad, and Texas Toast.  The 8 ounce dinner costs, $12 and the 16 ounce costs $17.

Scholarship Breakfast in Panora

The Panora Ancient Free and Accepted Freemasons lodge number 121 is sponsoring a scholarship breakfast for Panorama Panther senior graduate class.  It will be held today from 7 am to 12:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Building in Panora.  They will be serving pancakes, eggs and sausage.  A free will offering will be taken.

Perry Public Library Lifelong Learners Coffee

The Perry Public Library Lifelong Learners Coffee will hold it’s April meeting on Monday, April 24th at 9:00am at the Library. Connie Klug from the Dallas County Extension Master Gardener’s program will discuss Container Gardening. Coffee will be served and everyone is welcome.

All Iowa Reads Book Discussion

The Perry Library will participate in the Iowa Center for the Book’s All Iowa Reads endeavor with a community-wide book discussion, Tuesday, April 25, at 7:00 p.m., in the library large meeting room. The library is sponsoring discussion of the 2017 title, Bottomland by native Iowan Michelle Hoover.  Books are available now to check out or to purchase at the library. Book Sale in Jefferson

The Friends of the Jefferson Library Spring Book Sale will be held from April 27th through April 29th in the basement meeting room of the library.  They will have used books dvds, cds, games, puzzles and teacher educational materials available.  Admission is free to the book sale and it is open to the public.  The book sale will take place during regular library hours.

Iowa Arboretum Run for the Trees

The Iowa Arboretum Run for the Trees will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 8:00 a.m. at the Arboretum, 1875 Peach Avenue in Madrid. This will be a 5K or 1 mi. Panora Chamber Challenge Golf Tournament
