St. Pat’s Rummage Sale
Jun 14 – Jun 16 all-day

St. Pat’s Rummage ‘Sale will be held June 14th, from noon to 8 pm, June 15th from 9 am to 8 pm and June 16th from 9 am to 2 pm.  The sale will take place in the St. Pat’s School Gym at 1302 5th Street in Perry.  Items available will be household items, furniture, tool and yard items, clean summer clothing and more.

Avril Shahan’s Golden Jersey Fund

Moo Meat in Scranton has donated $500 to Avril Shahan’s Golden Jersey Fund and challenges everyone to meet or exceed it. Donations can be made during the next two Greene County Farmers Markets on Tuesday, June 19th and 26th. Avril is fighting leukemia. The money will be used to purchase 600 “chemo” shirts to be donated to Blank Children’s Hospital for children who are undergoing cancer treatments.

Hometown Heroes Memorial Ride
Jun 16 all-day

A Hometown Heroes Memorial Ride will be held today.  Registration will begin at 10 am to 11 am at the Rockwell City Fire Department.  The ride departs at 11 am.  Registration cost is $25 which includes a t-shirt and a punch card for a chance to win a 1/2 a hog.  From Rockwell City the route includes stops in Sac City, Breda, Templeton, Guthrie Center, Churdan and back to Rockwell City.  After the ride their will be supper and a live auction and basket auction at the Expo Building at the Rockwell City Park.  If you have questions call 515-571-2512 or 515-571-1697.

City of Perry Unclaimed Bicycle and Property Sale

The City of Perry Unclaimed Bicycle and Property Sale will be Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 8:00-10:00 a.m. in the parking lot area of the Perry Public Safety Building. This sale will include unclaimed bicycles and property as well as outdated or unused City of Perry inventory and equipment. Prices will be marked on all items. All sales are final, and are Cash only. Tori’s Angels Concession Stand

Tori’s Angels will have a concession stand at PJ’s in Panora,  for the  BACooN Ride on Saturday, June 16th. They will be selling cold bottled water, Gatorade, and pop. All sales help pay sponsored Angel kids’ expenses not covered by insurance.

Bingo Night in Earlham

Day Camp in Jefferson

A Community Day Camp will be held this week, June 18th – 21st, at Christ Lutheran Church in Jefferson.  The church is located at 1201 S. Elm, north of the high school on south Highway 4.  The camp is open to all youth entering grades 1 – 6 and meet 10 am to 2:45 pm everyday.  Classes for 4 – 5 year olds will meet from 10 am to 12:30 pm.  Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch.  Everyone is welcome.  Registration forms are online at clcjefferson.workpress.com.  or call the church at 515-386-3100..

Vacation Bible School in Paton

Greene County Farmers Market

The Greene County Farmer’s Market will be held every Tuesday, through September 25th.  Hours will be from 4 pm to 6:30 pm.  The markets will be held on the east side of the Greene County Courthouse.  Vendors will be selling local produce, baked goods and protein.  Plus their will be local organizations serving fundraiser meals as well.  On occasion there will be musical entertainment too.

Sarah and her colleagues edited the technical manuals used by NASA engineers in mission control, without the aid of today’s computer word processing programs. WWII Genealogy Workshop

A Run Through Time 5K Fun Run/Walk
