The Back to School Supply Drive wrapped up last week for the children of Greene County.

New Opportunities Coordinator Teresa Lansman says she teamed up with a variety of organizations and businesses to donate needed school items for students attending both Greene County and Paton-Churdan School districts. She is once again pleased with the support that made the annual fundraiser a continued success.

“The community has been unbelievable with helping out on so many occasions to make sure that all kids have what they need to get back to school, so that they’re all starting off on the even ballfield.”

Donations came from individuals, Jefferson Telecom, John Deere in Paton, American Athletic Incorporated/Spalding/Russell Brand Athletics, Midland Power Cooperative and Jefferson Rotary Club.

Lansman adds that 240 children signed up to receive school supplies this year.
