You may notice a parade of motorcycles in Dallas, Guthrie and Madison counties today and they’re likely riding for a good cause.

Today is the eighth annual AHeinz57 Ruff Ride.  The fundraiser benefits homeless and death row dogs in Iowa.  Last year’s event attracted more than 350 riders and the goal is to beat that today.

Following the ride, which leaves Adel at noon, is a barbecue dinner and concert with Abby Normal at the Adel Stage and Pavilion.  The show is open to the public for a $5 cover charge.
