dc conservationThe Dallas County Conservation Board will continue their monarch tagging program again this fall.

All area nature enthusiasts are invited to participate.  Rather than trying to guess the best date for monarchs to start their migration to Mexico, the program is on an on-call basis.  Those who register in advance will be contacted when the monarchs start moving through and the group will gather at the Kuehn Conservation Area.

Participants will catch the butterflies in a net, record data and tag them before releasing.

Anyone who would like to participate should call 465-3577.  The program is expected to take place mid-September.
