An event for the Carnegie Library Museum in Perry that started in late November is coming to a close this weekend.

The Festival of Trees has brought the winter cheer to Perry the last day to see the decorated trees is January 8th. The library museum has been transformed into a merry winter wonderland with decorated themed trees by many individuals, businesses and organizations. Librarian Candi Coffin says that the turn out for the trees has been awesome so far. She describes what made this year’s event sp great.

“Well, last year they had an outdoor kind of one. It was really suspended for two years due to COVID. So this is its first real year back. And though there were fewer trees than in the past, we do intend and hope that that will increase as time goes on.”

The Festival of Trees is free and open to the public during business hours. The Carnegie Library Museum is open tomorrow through Sunday from 10am until 4pm. For more information contact the library museum at 515-465-7713.
