The deadline for the 2021 Bennie F. Hall Prairie Woodland Conservation Foundation Scholarship for Guthrie County students is April 23.

There are two eligibility groups for the award, graduating high school seniors from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, Panorama, West Central Valley and Coon Rapids-Bayard high schools planning to major in a conservation-related field and college sophomores with conservation-related majors. Students must also have permanent residency in Guthrie County.

Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher grade point average and a 200-word essay is required with the application. For more information, contact the Guthrie County Conservation Department. Click here for a copy of the application.

The Bennie F. Hall Scholarship is named for long-time Guthrie County resident who left his estate to the Prairie Woodland Conservation Foundation in 2001, and the program is designed to assist students in finding a career in outdoor recreation and conservation.
