Residents should expect cold temperatures following last night’s snowfall across the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area.

Roads are still reported to be partially covered with snow and ice for most of Dallas, Greene, and Guthrie counties nearing midday Saturday. One of the highest snowfall totals reported from the National Weather Service in the Raccoon Valley Radio-listening area is 3.5 inches in Adel, and 3.5 inches was also reported by a member of the Raccoon Valley Radio Severe Weather Action Team in Perry. A chilly night ahead is expected into Sunday with lows between 1 above and 6 degrees below zero and wind chill values ranging from 10 to 20 degrees below.
