The dual season continued Tuesday night in Jefferson for the West Central Valley varsity wrestling team. The Wildcats visited Greene County’s middle school gym for a quadrangular event against the Rams, the North Polk Comets, and the Roland-Story Norseman. West Central Valley returned to Stuart with one dual win. The Wildcats recorded two wins by fall, one technical fall, and four wins by forfeit to edge Roland Story, 41-36. West Central Valley registered five pinfall wins in a 54-30 setback against North Polk. The Wildcats tallied four wins by fall, one major decision, and a win by forfeit in a 48-34 loss to Greene County. Four West Central Valley wrestlers left Jefferson with perfect individual nights on the mat. Justin Garcia (126) posted two pinfall wins and a win by forfeit. Cole Sackett (160) registered two pinfall wins and a major decision victory. Carson Wadle (195) pinned all three of his opponents Tuesday. Zac Custard (220) recorded two pinfalls and one win by forfeit. Weather permitting, the Wildcats are set to compete in the Rich Gray Classic this Saturday hosted by Interstate 35 High School. First matches are set to begin at 10 a.m. from Truro.
