A balanced scoring effort helped the West Central Valley varsity girls basketball team return to winning form Thursday night. Wildcat head coach Drew Stonewall shared with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network that four players chipped in eight points apiece in West Central Valley’s 49-29 victory over the Saydel Eagles Thursday night in Stuart. Recording eight points in the scoring column for the Wildcats included senior Joelle Grubbs, junior Aliyah Dickson, junior Michaela Jaeger, and freshman Madelyn Jaeger. The win snaps a four-game overall losing streak, improving West Central Valley’s overall record to 4-10. Weather permitting, the Wildcats are set to visit the Madrid Tigers tonight in West Central Activities Conference play. The varsity girls game is set to start at 6 p.m. and the boys’ contest to follow.
