Several Friday night high school basketball contests were impacted by yesterday’s winter storm warning. One of those was the West Central Activities Conference doubleheader between West Central Valley and Madrid. Madrid swept the first WCAC twin bill of the season against West Central Valley in Stuart on December 14. The Tigers won the girls contest, 41-34, and the boys game, 112-45. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network has learned that the school districts will attempt to close their season series this Monday, January 21. The varsity girls game starts around 6 p.m., and the boys’ contest will follow from Madrid High School.
