Perry School Board 1-14

The Perry School Board convened Monday evening for their first regular session of 2019.

The meeting began with a presentation on how well the Success Room worked in the first semester. Jake Enderton, the teacher assigned full time to the alternative learning environment went through how the classroom worked and what they hope to gain with it long-term. After that, Superintendent Clark Wicks went over the progress of educating the public on the bond referendum for the industrial technology and wrestling/multipurpose room project. In general business, the Board approved two applications to the School Budget Review Committee (SBRC) to help pay administrative costs. The first was for $4,952.91 to cover costs at the Woodward Day School, while the second was for $11,178.11 for the Grandwood Consortium.

The Board also approved an application for $598,010 in modified supplemental growth, to be used for at-risk and dropout prevention. Other items approved included: revisions to Board policies; two early graduation requests; the posting of three new staff positions in the District; and personnel changes as presented.
