The Perry basketball teams will enjoy some extra time on the hardwood practice floor this week as both Perry squads remain winless in Raccoon River Conference action. The Perry girls basketball team fell behind early Friday night and couldn’t recover losing to Bondurant Farrar 54-30. Molly Lutmer was the only player to hit double figures scoring 17 points. The Perry boys continued to show some improvement but are still searching for a full four quarter game as the visiting Bluejays turned a four point halftime lead into a large double deficit advantage in the second half as Bondurant cruised to a 62-37 victory. The visiting Bluejays outscored Perry 34-13 in the second half.
Perry will have a rare Tuesday night off and will return to the hardwood Friday night for a conference battle with Carlisle.
