A decorated multisport athlete at Panorama Community Schools made her college choice public Wednesday morning. Senior Bailey Beckman signed a letter of intent yesterday to play basketball and run track and field for Dordt College. Earlier this month, Beckman became the all-time career scoring leader for Panorama girls basketball against West Central Valley. During her three and half years of varsity basketball, Beckman’s accounted for 1,362 points. In track, Beckman’s qualified for the state meet in eight events the last three years and qualified for the Drake Relays in one event. Panorama head track coach Greg Thompson shared with Raccoon Valley Radio that she holds the outdoor long jump record at Panorama with a top leap of 17′ 3.5″. Dordt College is a private, Christian, liberal arts institution located in Sioux Center, Iowa.
