Two Guthrie County girls basketball teams squared off in Panora Thursday night. The Panorama Panthers, Class 2A’s No. 8 team, ran by the AC/GC Chargers at home last night, winning 68-27. The Panthers led the game wire to wire, holding an 11 point first quarter lead and a 24 point halftime advantage. Senior Baliey Beckman topped Panorama’s score sheet with 18 points. Freshman Chloe Largent poured in a team-best eight points to lead AC/GC. The win improves Panorama’s overall record to 13-1, while the loss drops the Chargers to 8-8. Panorama resumes their regular season schedule Monday night at home against the Nodaway Valley Wolverines. The AC/GC Chargers also return to the court Monday night in a nonconference home game against Southeast Valley.
