The DMACC VanKirk Career Academy in Perry is preparing to offer a special series of classes aimed at helping people learn how to use some common computer programs.

Eddie Diaz, the Director of the Perry Center, says starting in February the school will be offering what they’re calling a “Microsoft Bootcamp.” “So one of the areas that we’re really trying to help out with (is) local industry and businesses to provide more skills for their employees. We’re starting a Microsoft training, and it’s primarily targeting people that work at local businesses. So local businesses can contact us and enroll their employees. We still have seats, it’s Excel, and Microsoft Word, intermediate and basic for both of those. Or individuals (can join), say you want some basic skills on one of those areas, individuals can also sign up.”

Anyone interested in taking advantage of the DMACC “Microsoft Bootcamp” can reach out to the Perry center at 515-428-8100. For more information, click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Diaz.
