A late-game comeback fell short for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity girls basketball team Tuesday night. The Tigers couldn’t fully overcome an eight-point deficit entering the fourth quarter as ADM fell to the Dallas Center-Grimes Fillies, 52-51. ADM junior Abbie Hlas put up heavily contested game-winning shot attempt that missed the mark as time expired. The game featured 12 lead changes and two ties. Hlas topped ADM in scoring with 15 points, swiping seven steals in the setback. Sophomore Grace Hardcastle added 11 points, while junior Delaney Bertman and sophomore AJ Smith chipped in nine points apiece. The loss drops the ADM girls basketball team’s overall record at 10-5. The Tigers resume their Raccoon River Conference season tomorrow night in Huxley against the Ballard Bombers. The games been pushed forward by one day to avoid forecasted winter weather for most of Iowa on Friday and into the weekend. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network will have the live play by play coverage on True Country K 107.9 starting with pregame comments at 5:30 p.m., the girls game tipping off at 6 p, and the boys game to follow.
