Coach Zach Beekman’s Greene County wrestlers hit the road for Gilbert tonight to face not one, but two, teams nicknamed Tigers. It’s the first road dual meets of the season for the Rams, who are 1-1 after hosting Van Meter/Earlham and Ogden last week.

Greene County and Gilbert’s Tigers start the evening at 6 p.m. in a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference dual meet. The Rams meet the ADM Tigers in the second dual of the night, then the two Tigers’ teams cap off the evening. ADM is from the Raccoon River Activities Conference, which Gilbert will be joining in the fall of 2020.

The Rams may be a bit closer to full strength tonight, but still won’t have what is considered to be their regular lineup. Senior Bryce Hoyle remains on the sidelines with mono, but it’s anticipated senior Brock Wuebker who has been nursing a knee issue could make his season debut.

After tonight, Greene County goes to the Ogden dual meet tournament on Saturday with action starting at 9 a.m.
