Wednesday, December 5th

4:56am: The Greene County Medical Center Emergency Room spoke with an officer about threats being made against a male by a current patient in ER.

7:51am: A traffic Stop was performed with a vehicle at Park and Vine Streets resulting in Amy Purdie of Jefferson being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

8:02am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at 607 South Olive Street. A 1999 Ford F150 pickup, owned by Chad Stevens of Ralston and operated by Tyler Armstrong of Jefferson was southbound in the 600 Block of South Olive Street. A 2015 Kia Sportage owned and operated by Carol Christensen of Jefferson, was backing out of a driveway located at 607 South Olive Street when it struck Armstrong. The Armstrong vehicle had a reported $5000.oo in damages, while the Christensen vehicle had a reported $3000.00 in damages. Christensen was cited for, “Unsafe Backing Upon a Highway.”

8:57am: An officer assisted the Juvenile Court Officer by obtaining a Urine Analysis Kit from a juvenile at the courthouse.

2:34pm: The Webb House reported a stray dog at 307 South Wilson Ave. The officer placed the animal in the Animal Holding Facility.

7:19pm: Duane Holman reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the 200 Block of North Elm Street. The officer learned it was juveniles attending church in the area.

10:21pm: An officer assisted a deputy is searching Jefferson for a stole vehicle, last seen in Grand Junction.

10:52pm: A caller advised of a Speeding Vehicle on 220th Street heading towards Jefferson from the west. The officer located the reported vehicle at the casino and spoke to the driver about the complaint.

Thursday, December 6th

12:28am: A Traffic Stop was conducted at Central Ave. and North Elm Street resulting in Jacob Reitnauer-Doughe of Glidden being cited for, “Defective Muffler.”

9:38am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 100 Block of South Locust Street resulting in Travis Shield of Grand Junction being cited for, “Dark Windows.”

11:38am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 1500 Block of Westwood resulting I Nicole Jordan of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

12:05pm: A caller requested an officer for an argument in the 100 block of 108 East Central Street occurring with her husband. The officer attempted to diffuse the situation to no avail. The officer could not make either subject leave the property and could offer no further assistance.

3:12pm: Janice Barringer reported a semi driver on 220th Street, heading west into Jefferson, who could not stay in his own lane. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop at 220th and Mulberry. The officer spoke to the driver about the issue.

3:36pm: Amy Baugh spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue involving a cell phone.

7:05pm: An officer located a stray dog near McKinley and Wilson. The owner arrived and took control of the animal. The officer advised the owner to license the animal with the city and gave a time period to do so.

7:39pm: Jacob Sands requested a Welfare Check on a Jefferson female. The officer located the female at 406 North Cedar Street and determined she was fine.

7:59pm: Andrew Woodley reported a deceased cat in the roadway in the 300 Block of North Elm Street. The officer removed the animal from the roadway and placed it at the Vet Clinic for disposal.

9:32pm: The same caller from earlier in the day came to the LEC and reported she had been assaulted from an earlier argument in the 100 block of East Central Street by her husband. The officer is attempting to speak to the husband and the investigation continues.
