An Ida Grove man faces a felony charge for allegedly stealing a vehicle in Rippey.

According to a Greene County Sheriff’s office press release, a deputy began the investigation at 7:48am on Wednesday in the 200 block of Cartwright Street. Sheriff Jack Williams says 30-year-old Joshua Ackerson stole a vehicle, which was later found in Audubon County where Ackerson was arrested by local authorities. Ackerson has been charged with a Class D Felony for second degree theft.

Williams notes there may be additional charges pending completion of their investigation. He adds that Ackerson faces additional charges in Audubon County and he also has arrest warrants in Ida and Webster counties.

Ackerson was booked and remains in the Greene County Jail. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
