First year head coach Tyler Westhoff has watched his girls’ squad start 0-4 with four double-digit losses, and an offense that struggles to score points. The Rams have a total of 14 points combined in the first quarters of the games they’ve played, and the team field goal percentage in those four games hovers around 20 percent.

Chris Nelson is in season number 12 heading boys’ basketball programs, including his third season with the Rams. Greene County is 2-2 overall, but 0-2 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play with one-sided losses to a pair of undefeated teams in South Hamilton (Jewell) and Gilbert. The Rams are giving up nearly 78 points per game and two of their four opponents have scored more than 90, including both games at home in the middle school gym in Jefferson.
