Veterans Day is being recognized today as a federal holiday, with several office closures and programs honoring veterans who have served.

The Guthrie County Courthouse, Guthrie Center City Hall, and all post offices are closed today. Several public events are being held at area schools. Guthrie Center Elementary is hosting a free breakfast for veterans from 7:30-8 a.m. with an assembly following at 8:30 a.m. Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Junior High is hosting a breakfast for veterans from 8-8:30 a.m. in Adair with a program open to the public at 8:45 a.m. The Panorama Middle and High School are hosting a community program from 8-8:45 a.m. in the auditorium. West Central Valley High School and Stuart Elementary are both hosting programs at 9 a.m. and at the middle school in Redfield at 2:30 p.m., which are all open to the public.
