One of the strengths of the 2017-18 Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity girls basketball team was their ability to jump passing lanes on defense successfully. ADM finished last season ranked third in the Raccoon River Conference with 215 steals recorded. Five returning players registered over 20 steals each the previous season led by junior Abbie Hlas with 44. Senior Anna Kenny made 42 steals, while senior Emma Jacobsen and junior Delaney Bertman both tallied 38 steals each. Sophomore AJ Smith gathered 24 steals during her first high school season. The ADM girls basketball team opens their 2018-19 competition season this coming Monday, hosting the Norwalk Warriors in a nonconference contest.
