For a second straight season, the Panorama Panthers girls basketball team has a large class of returning seniors. Panorama head girls basketball coach Dan Druivenga shared with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network that he has six seniors taking part in preseason workouts to start the 2018-19 season. All six have played in multiple varsity games throughout their high school career, but there’s a vast range of experience. Returning all-state performer Bailey Beckman has the most playing experience, seeing the floor in 72 career games. Morgan Johnk has played in the second most varsity games at 69 contests. The other four seniors saw limited minutes at the end of several games in the last three years including Brooke Halterman (53 games), Lydia Knapp (32 games), Jaelyn Waddle (27 games), and Vallerie Storesund (27 games). The Panorama Panthers girls basketball team competed in their first batch of preseason scrimmages Saturday in Ankeny. The Panthers will take part in the Audubon jamboree tomorrow against Exira-EHK and will hit the road for a Pride Scrimmage at Logan-Magnolia on Saturday.
