Don’t forget: Perry, Adel, and Dallas County are observing Veterans Day today, which will result in several closures for each entity.

In Perry, all City Offices, the Water Works, the public library, and the McCreary Community Building will be closed all day for the holiday. There will also be no garbage pick-up today, and the schedule for the rest of the week will be moved back one day accordingly. For Adel, the City Hall, public library, and all other city offices are closed today, though the garbage, recycling, and yard waste schedules will not be altered. Additionally, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse, drivers license station, and Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed today for Veterans Day.

Finally, all banking institutions and post offices around Dallas County will be closed today in observance of the holiday. Everything will reopen for normal business tomorrow.
