Perry junior Kato Dougan had a breakout football season this fall after returning to the sport following a year off. The talented wide receiver led Perry in every receiving category this season and quickly became Kaleb Olejniczak’s favorite target.
“Kato is a really good story of perseverance,” stated head coach Matt Hardy. “He went out and played good football his freshman year but got injured and didn’t play any football last season. He decided to return this year and he just kept getting better and better every week. He gained confidence and you could really see his comfort level increasing with each passing week.”
Perry is hoping that Dougan will continue his growth in other sports as he plans on competing in basketball, track and baseball later this summer. The Perry boys basketball team reported for training camp yesterday.
