Perry School Board 6-11

The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will begin with a report on the the progress of the District’s Community Work Experience program. That will be followed by reports on the Professional Learning Community (PLC) National Institute Conference in Des Moines, and on the certified enrollment figures for the current school year. In general business, the Board will consider a drug and alcohol testing consortium service agreement with Medical Enterprises. The service provides testing for CDL drivers in the District, in accordance with the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Next, the Board will approve an application to the School Budget Review Committee for modified allowable growth in the amount of $555,538.88 for open enrollment out and limited English proficient (LEP) instruction. Other items on the agenda include: a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Human Services for foster care; a cooperative student teaching agreement with Iowa State University; and early graduation requests. Finally, the Board will consider approving an agreement with a construction manager for the Industrial Technology and wrestling room project.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
