Tuesday, November 13th

12:42am: An officer located an Open Door at 509 East Gallop Road. The officer secured the business.

2:23am: Perry PD requested assistance from a Jefferson officer in locating a male subject who had been involved in a Hit & Run Accident in Perry. The officer located the male at 308 North Pinet Street. The male was intoxicated and advised he had been in Perry. The officer arrested Justin Ray Lopez, 20 of Jefferson for, “Possession of Alcohol by Underage Persons 2nd Offense- Simple.” The officer is working to assist Perry PD further in their case.

8:05am: An officer investigated a Rear End Collision Accident at South and Maple Streets. A 1996 Ford Ranger, owned by Mark Olson and being operated by Brooklyn Olson of Jefferson, was eastbound on South Street. Olson stopped at the posted stop sign at South and Maple Streets. A 2003 Ford F150, owned by Jodi Schroeder and being operated by Quinten Schroeder of Scranton struck the rear of the Olson vehicle. Each vehicle suffered a reported $750.00 in damages. Schroeder was cited for, “Fail to Stop in Assured Clear Distance Ahead.”

9:17am: The Jefferson Vet Clinic advised an officer of a Cat Bite, which had occurred at 2130 hours on November 10th , 2018. A Jefferson female advised the Vet she had located an injured kitten in the roadway in the 100 Block of North Elm Street. The female took the kitten home and was subsequently bit, or scratched by the feral animal. The PD transported the kitten to the ISU Vet College for rabies testing. The animal had a negative test result for rabies.

12:52pm: A caller advised of a Suspended Driver at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The officer located the empty parked vehicle in the lot.

5:13pm: Ritchie Burkhardt reported a missing set of “Snap On” wrenches and sockets from 401 East McKinley. The officer is investigating.

6:47pm: Denice Emmick reported finding possible “Child Pornographic Photos” on her juvenile son’s school issued Chrome Book. The officer seized the computer and is investigating.

6:55pm: Kay Moranville reported a Lost/Stolen purse from her vehicle while parked in the 100 Block of West Monroe Street. Moranville called later and advised she had located her purse at her residence.

8:55pm: The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office advised of assistance in locating a possible armed Suicidal Subject. The male lives in Greene County. The Officer did not locate the subject in Jefferson.

10:12pm: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle without headlights at Vine and Lincoln Way Streets. The officer made contact with a 14-year-old male driver. The minor was cited for, “Violation of Instruction Permit Restriction.” The officer contacted a licensed family member to come and retrieve the vehicle.
