Friday, November 9th

7:58am: Amanda Bacon reported a Careless Driver on 235th Street, heading west into Jefferson. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

8:15am: Tim Pound requested an officer at 204 West Washington Street for a vehicle blocking his driveway. Pound called back and advised he figured out who the vehicle belonged and no further assistance was needed.

4:14pm: The A&W requested an officer at 300 North Elm Street for a male there harassing an employee. Officers arrived and located the male in the area. They advised him to end contact with the female and he was no longer welcome at the business.

4:54pm: Kylie Angell reported finding damage on her vehicle while parked at 101 Ram Drive. The 2015 Chevrolet Cruze is owned by Jeri and Shawn Angell of Grand Junction. The front fender had been struck. The officer is checking video to try and determine who the other vehicle may be.

5:02pm: Medicap Pharmacy advised an employee was bit by a dog while delivering medications to 205 West Vest Street. Officers met with the animal’s owner. The dog was placed in a 10 Day Quarantine Period at the vet clinic and per city ordinance, the animal will leave the city after the period is up.

11:24pm: An officer removed a bat from 305 North Wilson Ave.

Saturday, November 10th

3:59am: A caller advised he was in a hospital bed at Landus Cooperative and was going to be murdered. The officer learned the male was in a hospital in Des Moines and needed no assistance.

9:54am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 1000 Block of North Elm Street resulting in James Rice of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:04am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

1:30pm: Doug Plath reported a Lost/Stolen cell phone at 777 Wild Rose Casino.

3:02pm: Hilda Ratliff reported she was parked in the north end of the White Oak Station’s parking lot at 303 North Elm Street. Ratliff advised a black truck entered the alley and was spinning its tires, throwing gravel at her vehicle. The Ratliff vehicle suffered a broken windshield and dents in the event. The officer is speaking with a suspect.

6:00pm: Mae Davis advised her vehicle had broken down and she was able to coast into the Greene County Middle School parking lot. She advised she would remove the vehicle before morning.

6:22pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a possible Fake ID. The officer met with the female, who eventually advised the ID belonged to a family member and was not hers. The officer issued Nancy Hernandez of Texas a citation for, “Unlawful Use of Driver’s License.”

9:28pm: A caller advised of Barking Dogs in the 200 Block of North West Street. The officer did not locate the barking animals.

Sunday, November 11th

1:08pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call n the 300 Block of Edgewood Ave.

6:13pm: A caller advised of an Open Overhead Door at 412 West McKinley Street. The empty building was fine.

Monday, November 12th

9:23am: Chad Richter advised his vehicle had been struck and damaged at 101 Ram Drive on 11/8/2018. The 2008 Ford Focus suffered a reported $750.00 in damages. The officer is checking school video.

4:09pm: An officer checked on a Residential Alarm Activation at 506 North Locust Street. The residence was fine and the alarm had been accidentally set off.

4:58pm: An officer covered a One Vehicle Roll Over Accident on East Russell Street (gravel). The 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt was owned by Heather Pollock and being operated by Gabrielle Pollock, both of Jefferson. The vehicle had been eastbound when it left the roadway and flipped several times. Greene County EMS transported the female to ER with injuries. The officer is still investigating the accident.

8:05pm: Barbara Greene of North Carolina spoke with an officer about concerns for her 10-year-old granddaughter who recently moved to Jefferson.

9:28pm: Melissa Larson advised her vehicle had broken down in the 700 Block of South Olive Street. She advised help was coming to remove the vehicle.

11:26pm: Angie Forkner advised of an argument she had been involved in with two males outside of 219 North Chestnut Street. She was waiting for a subject to get off work at midnight and feared the two would return to the area. The officer stood by as she picked up the subject from work and left the area.
