Greene County boys’ basketball head coach Chris Nelson informed Raccoon Valley Radio of a new event. It’s called the First Annual Red/White Scrimmage and it’s tomorrow night (Fri., Nov. 16) at 6:30 p.m. in the middle school gym in Jefferson. “It is three-15 minute segments of live play where we will vary up the lineups. We will be having certified officials so it will be game like action,” the coach said. The scrimmage is free to attend and open to the public.

On Saturday, Nov. 17, the Greene County girls and boys basketball teams will host the Kuemper Catholic teams in a Hall of Pride Scrimmage Night in the middle school gym in Jefferson. Again, there will be game-like conditions, but it won’t count on the season record for any of the teams. The girls play at 6 p.m. and the boys will follow. There is a charge of $5.00 per person to attend.
