Five vehicles were involved in a wreck in Panora Sunday night.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, at about 5:50 p.m. 78-year-old Janice Carra of Des Moines was driving a Chevy Blazer westbound on Highway 44 when she crossed the center line and side-swiped a Ford F150 driven by 46-year-old Emir Softic of Urbandale. Carra then lost her driver’s side wheel and kept going westbound, side swiping an eastbound Chevy Tahoe driven by 19-year-old Cole Riddlebarger of Ankeny. Thirty-three year-old Justin Bacon of Manson drove his Chevy Silverado over Carra’s tire, putting a hole in his oil pan. Nineteen-year-old Quinten Pote of Panora drove a Toyota Corolla that also hit the tire, causing front end damage.

Carra and Softic were both transported by Panora EMS to the Guthrie County Hospital, and Carra was cited for violating a one-way traffic designation.
