Redfield

Casey’s General Store has announced the organizations that will receive their $10,000 bonus for selling one of the two winning Powerball jackpot tickets at their Redfield location.

At a press conference held Tuesday morning, Casey’s officials announced that West Central Valley High School will receive $5,000, while the Redfield Fire Department and First Responders will each get $2,500. Casey’s and the Iowa Lottery have also decided to mail coupons to all addresses with a Redfield zip code later this month. The coupons are for a free Casey’s pizza, valid only at the Redfield Casey’s location, and a free, easy-pick Powerball play. Casey’s Vice President of Marketing Mike Richardson said being given the opportunity to invest the money in the Redfield community was an honor. He added, the company has always been proud of the rural Casey’s communities, and they are happy to share the gift with them.

All of the prizes and donations were made possible due to a winning Powerball jackpot ticket being sold at the Casey’s Redfield location on October 27th. There were two tickets sold that shared the jackpot, which breaks down to a $343.9 million annuity, or $198.1 million lump-sum option for each.
