Betsy Peterson Designs in Perry is hosting a “First Look” event tomorrow, which will benefit a new charitable organization formed in honor of the late Marjean Gries.

The Marjean Gries Memorial Perry Children’s Christmas Fund was created to help local children have a good holiday, while paying homage to the former Perry Elementary physical education teacher and School Board member. The event will include a chance to see and shop the newest holiday offerings from the gallery, though it won’t stop there. There will also be desserts, wine tasting, live music, and items up for auction. It’s a ticketed affair, with the cost being $20 per person, and tickets can be purchased at Betsy Peterson Designs, Ben’s Five and Dime, Alice’s Haus Dressin, Hy-Vee, Hotel Pattee, and Scottish Fox. All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will go directly to the Christmas Fund.

The “First Look” event will be held tomorrow from 7-9 p.m.
