An inaugural event is being planned for the Saturday after Thanksgiving in Jefferson as a fundraiser for a local non-profit.

The Jefferson Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #9599 is hosting a Veterans Vendor Show at Clover Hall on the Greene County Fairgrounds from 10am to 4pm. Post Commander James Wasson says they have 30 total vendor spaces for their first-ever event, which are on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We have vendors coming in and we’re setting up. Most of them have donated money to us to do this function, which helps us, so we can give money back to the community as well. So we’re looking at trying to do this twice a year if we can, one in the fall and one in the spring.”
