The former Jefferson and Bagley man who is accused of killing an Iowa State University student has had his trial date pushed back.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Collin Richards has asked for a new attorney, which has pushed back his jury trial date to April 30, 2019. Richards has already submitted a written plea of not guilty to a Class A Felony charge for first degree murder for allegedly killing Celia Arozamena.  Law enforcement agencies found the victim’s body at Coldwater Golf Links in Ames on Monday, September 17th. Richards, who was homeless, was arrested by authorities after finding evidence near the scene. Richards was booked and remains in the Story County Jail.
