Greene County closes the 2018 high school volleyball regular season later today in Ogden for a triangular vs. Ogden and Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, a pair of West Central Activities Conference schools. Starting time is 5 p.m. at Ogden High School. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 6-17 on the season.

After tonight, all that’s left on the Rams’ schedule is the Class 3A postseason. Greene County takes on Humboldt in Humboldt on Wed., Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in a Region 3 first round contest. The winner will play either Roland-Story (Story City) or Southeast Valley (Gowrie) in a semifinal round contest on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in Humboldt. The other four teams in the region are Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Forest City, Osage, and Clear Lake.

Paton-Churdan begins Class 1A Region 3 volleyball on Tuesday, Oct. 16 in Glidden at 7 p.m. vs. Glidden-Ralston. The winner faces CAM (Anita) in Anita on Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. Other teams in the region include Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Ar-We-Va (Westside), Audubon, Colo-Nesco, Collins-Maxwell, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, GMG (Garwin). Meskwaki Settlement School (Tama), Baxter, and North Tama (Traer).
