A Scranton man was recently federally indicted on drug charges.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Travis Straight recently had his two felony charges from the Greene County Sheriff’s office dismissed due to being federally indicted. Straight was facing two Class D Felonies for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and failure to affix a tax stamp, following an executed search warrant in the 700 block of Jefferson Street in Scranton on April 5th. We’ve previously reported that the ongoing investigation also involved the Department of Narcotics Enforcement and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agency.

Assistant Greene County Attorney Thomas Laehn tells Raccoon Valley Radio Straight is no longer facing any criminal charges from the state, since he is now federally indicted. Laehn adds that Straight faces a much longer period of incarceration if convicted on his federal charges.

Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
