Motorists should be aware of a road closure south of Stuart tonight. According to the Iowa Department of Transportation District Four Office, Stuart Road, or County Road P28, from 130th to 160th Streets will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. tonight through 5 a.m. Thursday morning. The Adair County Sheriff’s Office says a large crane will be on the road and crews will be hauling in dirt to cover the road so as to not sustain damage. A detour will be posted using Trenton Avenue.
