Two fall sports teams at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools will start their postseason later this week. The Tiger volleyball team begins the playoff run in Class 4A Region 2 tournament tomorrow in a road contest against Raccoon River Conference member Winterset. ADM hosted Winterset in the regular season league match with the Tigers falling to the Huskies in five games (22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20, 11-15). Since their match on September 25, ADM has posted a 5-9 overall record while Winterset’s registered a 4-2 mark. First serve takes place at 7 p.m. at Mel Penrod Gymnasium in Winterset.

On Thursday, the ADM Tiger varsity cross country teams continue their postseason run in the Class 3A State Qualifying race at Glenwood Lake Park. The Glenwood Rams are the host school of the meet featuring runners from Boone, Clarke, Gilbert, Perry, Winterset, Atlantic, Creston, Denison-Schleswig, Harlan, and Kuemper Catholic. The ADM Tiger boys cross country squad will look for a return trip to Fort Dodge after ending an 11-year state meet drought last fall. None of this year’s Tiger girls cross country runners have qualified for the state meet. The Class 3A State Qualifying race begins at 4 p.m.
