Deal’s Orchard near Jefferson is hitting their busy time of year, with lots of special events coming up.

This weekend is the Touch-A-Tractor and Food Drive event. Reuter’s Red Power is bringing several tractors to the orchard for kids to look at and climb, while also learning about the role that tractors play in feeding our country. Plus, everyone is encouraged to bring in a non-perishable food item tomorrow or Sunday and receive one dollar off their Apple Acres admission price. Deal’s Orchard staff encourages the public to bring as many non-perishable food items as you would like, but you will only get $1 off the admission price. All food items will be donated to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC).

Next Saturday will be Super Hero Day at Deal’s Orchard. The Avengers of the Knight will be there from 1 to 4pm for families to get their photos taken with them and kids and parents are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero. Plus, all police, fire, emergency medical and military personnel will get in free to Apple Acres with a valid photo identification as a way to say “thank you” for their service.
