Two second-year members of the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys cross country team were the first two place winners at Monday’s annual ADM Cross Country Invitational at Adel’s Hillcrest Country club. Sophomore Nate Mueller claimed the meet medalist honors with a top race time of 17:15. Sophomore Ethan Jurgen finished 37 seconds behind Mueller for runner-up medalist. Sophomore Hannah Welch was ADM’s top finisher in the girls’ race, taking 12th place overall with a time of 23:31. Both ADM cross country teams took third place in the team standings. The Tiger boys scored 75 points, and the ADM girls squad posted 92 points. The Ballard girls cross country team is the 2018 ADM Cross Country Invitational Champions with a low score of 17, while the Carlisle Wildcats claimed the boys’ title with 26 points. The ADM cross country runners resume their race season on Thursday, September 27, running in the annual Perry Leon Fox Cross Country Invitational at Perry’s Golf and Country Club.
